A group of constituents were given the chance to quiz David Mackintosh about his work as MP for Northampton South during a trip to Westminster.

Dozens of visitors enjoyed a guided tour of the House of Commons and House of Lords before having the opportunity to meet David and hear more about his role.

A question and answer session gave residents the chance to ask for information on local issues, with topics including potholes, transport, infrastructure and health services high on the agenda.

David said: “It’s great to have constituents down from Northampton to see the work I am doing to represent them in Parliament. It’s an opportunity for them to see at first hand how the system works and for me to find out more about what matters most to the people I am working on behalf of.”

As part of the trip, the group was able to sit in the House of Commons and watch proceedings from the public gallery.
