RAF Cosford visit highlights troops’ training

Northampton South MP, David Mackintosh, visited RAF Cosford recently as part of a programme for MPs to support the Armed Forces.

RAF Cosford is a joint aircraft maintenance, storage and technical training unit based in the Midlands.

The visit included a tour of No 1 School of Technical Training and a visit to the hangars as well as the chance to take part in close combat training.

David said: “It was important to visit the facilities at RAF Cosford to see the work of our Armed Forces and to find out how best we can support them in Parliament. The training programmes are very important to ensure we have the best skilled workforce to keep us safe.”
