David Mackintosh backs Theresa May for Conservative leadership

David Mackintosh has today announced that he will be supporting Theresa May in the upcoming Conservative Leadership Election.

He said: “After last week’s referendum result, this country now needs a strong and proven leader to unify and lead this country through these uncertain times.

“Theresa has an excellent vision for this country that builds on the previous success of David Cameron and continues the one nation approach that lies at the heart of the Conservative Party – building on a bold, new and positive vision for this country.

“I have known Theresa for more than 10 years now and she is phenomenally hard working with a strong record of delivering as Home Secretary and she will make an excellent Prime Minister.”
